Motorcycle pants have to do three things really well.
Firstly, they must do the best they can for your jolly pink skin if the unthinkable happens and you’re grinding your way down the road on your arse. Or thighs. Or both if there’s some tumbling involved.
Secondly, they have to be comfortable to wear. If they’re chewing on your vegetables, cutting the circulation off in your legs, or chafing your delicate inner meats, they are rubbish.
And thirdly – and this is probably the most crucial – you have to look fine in them. Let others look like ill-caparisoned homeless degenerates. Your job is to look good.
These Owen Flash strides are on message in all three areas.
They are constructed with Aramid fibres and reinforced with this Aramid goodness on the arse and the hips.
They are comfortable (cheers, denim) because they have a little give in them. They’re not stretchy like pantyhose, but they have enough stretch in them (cheers, elastane) for you to have a big steak and some dessert and not have to ride off down the road with your top button undone.
And as far as looking fine goes – they have that so covered. If your missus has been looking over your shoulder and is now chucking her panties into the corner and shaking her hair out, it’s the pants, bro, not me. I am just the messenger here.
Featurewise they’re also pretty trick.
They can be adjusted a multitude of ways to ensure that nicely fitted bodice-ripping wow-factor. You can tweak them at the waist and you can adjust their length with three different snaps – which is a little bit amazing.
The CE-approved knee armour can be custom-fitted via two pockets set at different levels near your knee.
The cargo pockets are deep and seal with Velcro and the hip pockets will carry a key deep enough to stop you patting yourself down every time you stop.
And my arse did not at all look big in them.
